“Weathered Cowboy II” is on my shortlist of masterpieces, and also one of my favorites. The photo reference was taken in a barn at a Wyoming rodeo in 1992. The first version called “Weathered Cowboy” was the first of many experimentations using colored charcoal. After the first one sold in 1994, I decided to re-create it for my personal collection. It is one of my most popular pieces.
