“Curious Beach Walker” is the first in the “kids” series, and my first professional acrylic painting. Now that I was confident in pencil and colored charcoal, I wanted to attempt the possibilities of what acrylics can bring. I wanted to continue my study in ‘realism’, asking myself; “what kind of realism can I achieve with Acrylics?” With this painting, I taught myself the ‘brush’ stroke which became essential for this painting which took over 100 hours to complete.
