Young children and horses are a great combination. The reference for this pencil drawing was from a printed publication. During the drawing stages, I used a reference of a different horse. The lighting is the same to match both references… an important element when using more than one photo reference. The story line is the most important factor for this drawing. But also notice the triangles in the centre that keeps the eye in the image!
